The Austin District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) plans, designs, builds, operates, and maintains the state transportation system in the following counties: Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Gillespie, Hays, Lee, Llano, Mason, Travis, and Williamson. This section provides an overview of population, employment, and commuting trends for each of these counties.
